Major and Career Goals
Major Goals
Right now, I am an exploratory student. However, I am actively working towards declaring a major. I am interested in the Lilly School of Philanthropic Studies. Next semester I am going to take an Intro to Philanthropy class to learn more about the field and to see if I would enjoy it. I am thinking about double majoring in philanthropy and communications.
Career Goals
Because I am not even sure what I will major in, I am definitely not 100% sure what career I want to go into. I am passionate about helping others and making this world better for everyone. If I major in philanthropy and communications, I plan to use the skills I learn to work for a non-profit organization.

I have been inspired to do this type of work by a couple of different things. Last year, I visited Outreach (a non-profit organization that helps teens and young adults who are experiencing homelessness) with my school and I was really inspired by the work they were doing.
I am also inspired by a couple who are good friends with my parents and they run a non-profit organization that helps single moms in Knoxville Tennessee called The Restoration House. I would like to work for a similar organization to Outreach or The Restoration House.
